Okie Dokie… as you can tell… my posts went from daily posts to dropping like a fly on Nov. 10th.

I have survived parent/teacher conference week.

I have survived writing 2 grad papers and a presentation.  (Only one more night of class and I’m done until January!!! Whoo hoo!!!)

Now… to survive the Kindergarten Turkey Tune Program tomorrow.  It is truly the cutest show put on by the kiddos, but a lot of work getting all the costumes ready, etc.

Here’s a sneak peek for the Kerr Family…taken last weekend.  Talk about some curly blonde hair and blue eyes. WOW!  I just love how the sun was setting on the train tracks that evening.

If I don’t make it back on here for awhile it’s because I’m enjoying my first weekend “off” in a LOOOONNNNNNG time.  My mom got us tickets to go see the Radio City Rockettes on Saturday at the Fox!  Can’t wait!

Blessings,

Courtney

Courtney Brown Photography {News & Events}

Hey folks,

Just a quick update to let you know availability for sessions.  I have Sunday, November 29th (PM) open and a few limited dates in December.  I will be winding it down for the ’09 year and taking a little break to enjoy the holiday season with my family.  Shoot me an e-mail on the contact section of the website (link on right) if you are interested in a session before the holidays. Also, if you are into scrapbooking… I will be at a vendor event at the International Horse Park in Conyers this Saturday.  Contact me for more info if you want to come out and scrapbook all day!

Blessings,

Courtney

PS- I’ve had a request to post more pix from that beautiful wedding that my hubby and I shot out in Madison, GA back in September.  Here you go…

Courtney Brown Photography {Couples}

Between my crazy busy schedule and changing blogs, I never had the chance to post about a sweet couple and their dog Grace that I photographed a few weeks ago.  Kelli and I are currently in grad school together, so she understands the hectic life of a teacher/student.  Kelli and her hubby have been married about a year and half now and have a very spoiled pup!  My nickname for Kelli is “monogram queen”.  She seriously has more monogrammed items than anyone I know! Even her shoes are monogrammed!!!

That’s all for this post.  I’m trying to ward off a cold with plenty of vitamin C and rest today.  Of course a cold would strike me 2 days before my 8 parent/teacher conferences, yikes!

Blessings,

Courtney

PS- For those who love monogrammed stuff, I’m going to do a little plug here.  :o)  I purchased a very cute market basket tote and return address stamp from Monogram Chic.  Kelli introduced me to the website, and the owner is also a former middle school teacher… bless her.

Might as well make it 3 posts in a row!  This one will be a quick sneak peek since it’s Amazing Race night on TV!…priorities, for real.  ;o)

Meet Christina and Dave.  They both have a great sense of humor, and I can tell that their wedding is going to be lots of FUN… especially since they mentioned something about hula hoops! (I envision a great photo-op with hula hoops!)  We will be there to photograph their big day when they tie the knot in June 2010!

Courtney Brown Photography {Engagement}

SURPRISE… another post… 2 days in a row!

I am currently avoiding the thought of anything school/grad class related because playing with pictures is more fun!

Here are some recent sneak peeks of a few engagement pictures.  Heather and Adam are getting hitched in April, but we decided to take advantage of the fall season before the cold weather arrived.  What a beautiful weekend for a photo session!  They make a really cute couple, and Adam is probably the most laid-back and easy-going guy that I’ve encountered in front of the camera. I’m still trying to convince Miss Heather that the camera is friendly.  She looks absolutely fabulous in her red sweater! ;o)

Well, I can’t promise that I’ll keep my posting at its current pace, but I always enjoy those spare moments of time to just have fun!

Since we’ve recently updated our photography website with a shopping cart, I have decided I might as well change-up the blog and move to WordPress.

Clean, crisp, larger pix, and a few more options to play with… we’ll see how I like it for awhile.

You can visit the old blog here.

Things have been, shall I say… crazy BUSY!

The last few weeks of October flew by and before I knew it, November hit me with the time change.

I’m preparing myself for an upcoming week full of parent/teacher conferences at school.

My grad class is coming to an end for the fall semester, which means EVERYTHING is due… papers, projects, etc.

This fall season has been a HUGE blessing to me with the business.  I am so lucky to have wonderful family, friends, and clients.

Especially friends who send me sweet little “just because” e-mails that make a gal’s day and keep me sane… Paige… xoxoxo!

Here are a few sneak peeks of some pictures I’ve been working on from today.  I’ll update again soon with a lot of engagement and couples pix… well, more likely the update will be after conference week! ;o)

This handsome little guy turned 5 recently, so mom wanted some pix to mark this special occasion.  These were done studio style, which is a little different for me since 90% of my pix are usually outdoors.  I LOVE how they turned out though.  Like I said, I have the best clients who come back for more… some of his sister’s senior pix from this past summer are featured on the senior gallery of the website.
